Texas emergency alert test is coming

Texas will test its statewide emergency alert system Thursday. What to expect.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management will be sending out a statewide alert Thursday in a test of its mass public-warning system. The test alert will be sent out between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., according to a Facebook post from the Greater Harris County 911 Emergency Network.
