Shepard, who starred alongside Elvis Presley in the movies King Creole and Paradise, Hawaiian Style, has died at the age of 96 after suffering from pneumonia

Jan Shepard died at a hospital in California on January 17. Her death was caused by pneumonia brought on by respiratory failure. She starred alongside the rock n roll icon in his 1958 movie King Creole as well as 1966's Paradise, Hawaiian Style. She also had a successful TV career away from the big screen.

Shepard, who made the rounds on television in dozens of series and co-starred opposite Elvis Presley in film on two occasions, died January 17.
