A man has died after he was reportedly stabbed during a fight Saturday night in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas Oates tells NBC10 Boston affiliate WJAR that several people were involved in an altercation in the street outside 380 Social Street.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Two men have been charged after a man was stabbed to death in Woonsocket over the weekend. Ibrahim Sylla and Jacob Lopez Diaz, both 24 years old, have each been charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Woonsocket police have identified the victim killed in a stabbing that happened on Saturday night. According to Police Chief Thomas Oates, just after 6 p.m., police were called to a disturbance in the area of 380 Social Street where several people were fighting.

Officers were called to 380 Social St. at about 6:10 p.m. Saturday and found Christopher Penado suffering from multiple wounds.

The Woonsocket Police Department has arrested two individuals connected to a fatal stabbing. The fatal stabbing happened over the weekend and ended with the killing of Christopher Penado. On Monday the department identified both suspects as Ibrahim Syll and Jacob Lopez Diaz.
