This is in response to Sun president Jennifer Rizzotti denying the team's sale to Pags' group as the WNBA pushed back on the team relocating to Boston.

Celtics minority owner Steve Pagliuca and former Milwaukee Bucks owner Marc Lasry have submitted bids to purchase the team. Both would like to relocate it; Pagliuca to Boston and Lasry to Hartord.

Steve Pagliuca has confirmed his Boston-based group's interest in purchasing the WNBA's Connecticut Sun. In a statement issued Sunday night, the group acknowledged that no deal has been reached with the Mohegan Tribe and that his "record-setting offer" remains subject to league approval.
