The fire, called the Mile Marker 65 Fire because of its location about 8 miles south of Boise, started shortly before 1 p.m., according to WildCAD, a wildfire dispatch system. The fire grew to about 5,000 acres by 4 p.m.

The Oceanside Fire Department responded early this morning to two vehicle crashes -- one involving a tree and the other a home -- happening within less than an hour of each other.

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A vehicle fire in Okaloosa County is causing traffic delays in the Baker area. According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, all lanes of 189 in Baker are currently shut down.

A vehicle fire sent a plume of black smoke into the air near downtown Petaluma on Friday morning. The fire was reported around 10 a.m. near Fourth and B streets, next to the Petaluma Historical Library & Museum. Fire crews responded to the scene. There was no immediate word on injuries or what caused the blaze.

Bend Fire has contained a fire that broke out at 2:35 PM in north Bend off Highway 97, near the homeless encampment known as "Dirt World." According to Pulse Point, the fire appears to have been started from a vehicle.

A two-vehicle crash involving a rollover and vehicle fire on Interstate 15 sent three people to the hospital Friday afternoon.

Five people died after three vehicles collided on state Route 67 in Poway, sparking a half-acre brush fire Friday afternoon, sheriff’s officials said. The crash happened just after 12:30 p.m. at the highway intersection with Iron Mountain Drive, sheriff’s Sgt. Saleem Payman said in a news release.
