Mississippi State quarterback Michael Van Buren Jr. is officially set to enter the transfer portal, he announced via social media on Tuesday. This marks just one of many quarterbacks to embark on a quest for a new change of scenery now that the regular season is in the books.

The loss of Van Buren coincides with the latest smoke that the Bulldogs are heavily pursuing Oklahoma transfer Jackson Arnold. Lebby recruited and signed Arnold for the Sooners and the quarterback backed up Dillon Gabriel in year one.

Former Tulane quarterback Darian Mensah has already found a new program in Duke, while Mississippi State's Michael Van Buren Jr. and Cal’s Fernando Mendoza are exploring changes of their own in the transfer portal.

Fernando Mendoza is expected to be one of the most coveted quarterbacks after entering the transfer portal from Cal, where he had 3,004 passing yards, 18 total touchdowns and six interceptions this season.
