Uber is shifting into a new gear in Austin, Texas where its ride-hailing service will begin dispatching self-driving cars to pick up passengers looking for a way to get around that city.

Austin, Texas, residents can now experience the cutting-edge of ride-sharing with Uber's introduction of driverless cars, in collaboration with Waymo. The innovative service features autonomous Jaguar I-Pace vehicles that can accommodate up to four passengers without an additional fee for the driverless experience.
