A newly-named storm, named Conall, is forecast to bring heavy rain to southern England and Wales, hitting communities still cleaning up from Storm Bert. The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for rainfall in several southern areas of the UK from 22:00 GMT on Tuesday until midday on Wednesday.

Heavy rain last night has resulted in 14 flood warnings being in place across Hampshire this morning (Wednesday, November 27) in the wake of Storm Conall.

Greater London is also subject to a yellow weather warning, with the Met Office forecasting mild weather with outbreaks of rain, which will be locally heavy, moving eastwards during the morning and clearing by lunchtime.

The storm is forecast to track east during Tuesday night and into Wednesday, but will not be at its worst until it has passed through the UK
