BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Wednesday’s storm brought more than thunder, lightning, rain and strong winds to Western New York. Storm chasers were out in force for a glimpse of something the region rarely sees.

The former Tropical Storm Edouard weakened into a depression but dumped nearly 2 feet of rain in some places, flooded roads and knocked down trees Wednesday in parts of Texas as it slowly moved north.

Nighttime flooding remains a threat as the storm moves deeper into the state.
