Anyone need CouplaBeers? Over the weekend, Shane Gillis did a skit on “Saturday Night Live” called “CouplaBeers” where he played a man advertising a new medication that treats anxiety and depression.

Now that Lorne Michaels has tapped Shane Gillis to host Saturday Night Live for a second time (we get it, Lorne, nobody is going to tell you who you can and can’t hire), can we declare the grand Gillis experiment over now?

Last night’s SNL delivered what might be its most universally praised sketch in decades. Or at least that’s what Twitter is saying about it. The pre-taped sketch, CouplaBeers, starred host Shane Gillis.

The night included a hilarious twist on The Voice from Please Don't Destroy and a parody ad for "CouplaBeers."

Gillis arrived with history. In 2019, he was hired as a featured cast member but promptly fired after it came to light that he had used racist and homophobic slurs in his podcast.
