Hundreds are dead after two typhoons swept through the Philippines. A Waterloo resident says the local Filipino community is worried for the safety of their family living in the country.
“While Typhoon Uwan has exited our landmass, it will continue to bring rains to Luzon, and our operations to help local government units and their constituents continue,” he said, adding that there was “still danger” in certain areas.
Typhoon Fung-wong slings around a suspension bridge in the eastern Philippines. The typhoon made landfall as a Category 3 equivalent hurricane.
