U.S. Marshals arrested the suspected shooter at an apartment complex in Los Lunas, New Mexico, about 25 south of Albuquerque, the Valencia County Sheriff's Office said. No other information about the suspect was provided but authorities were expected to give a news conference later Friday.

Two people were shot, one fatally, Friday at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, where authorities said the suspect remains at large.

Responding officers found two individuals had been shot when they arrived, one of whom died.
