The National Weather Service in Cleveland is calling for a weekend filled with heavy snow that will continue into next week for Erie. In the first significant storm of the season, Mammoth Mountain saw nearly 50 inches of snow Nov. 23-26, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow will continue through much of Minnesota on Thanksgiving Day ahead of a plunge in temperatures that will send wind chills well below zero. In its latest snowfall forecast, the National Weather Service is predicting that the northern border of Minnesota could see up to 4 inches of snow between Thursday morning and Sunday as flurries continue over the coming days.

Flurries will fly in parts of Minnesota on Wednesday, and arctic air is set to arrive in time for Thanksgiving.
