LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI - More than 38,000 people are out of power in Livingston County after a severe storm and possible tornado blew through the area. Around 540 outages knocked out power for 38,619 customers in Livingston County as of 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, according to the DTE Energy Outage Map.

The Livingston County Consortium on Aging recently awarded $10,000 in grants to 10 nonprofits that support older adults with everything from home repairs and dental care to senior programming and community improvements.

The Livingston County Community Alliance said the award "reflects Deputy Tom Stocker's dedication to protecting our community and his collaborative work with community organizations on substance use and prevention efforts”.
