Gov. Kathy Hochul has launched a new initiative to recruit workers into state service as the federal government is laying off thousands of highly qualified workers.

A simmering feud between New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and her number two, Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado, has boiled over. After months of public discord, Delgado on Monday released a statement saying he won’t be on the governor’s reelection ticket next year and hinting that he might actually challenge her for the governor’s office.
