The Chicago Sky signed guard Kate Martin to a developmental contract, the team announced today. Martin most recently spent most of the 2026 season with the Los Angeles Sparks. She opened this season on a developmental contract before the Sparks converted her to a standard deal in early July.

Kate Martin’s 2026 WNBA season took another wild turn after the Los Angeles Sparks waived her on Saturday. It was the second time Martin was waived this year after the Golden State Valkyries did so before this season.
