Police in Lawrence are investigating a shooting that left two people dead and one person critically injured Thursday night. Officers responded to the 1600 block of Haskell Avenue around 8 p.m. and found two people dead at the scene,

PBS Kansas said its future is uncertain after the U.S. Senate passed a bill slashing federal funding for public broadcasting.

First responders are working to remove a semi-truck in northern Kansas on Thursday that has rolled onto its side and is blocking traffic. Marshall County Emergency Management shared on social media the truck is blocking part of Highway 77 about eight miles north of Marysville.
