The manhunt for Vance Luther Boelter, a suspect in the shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses, has South Dakota residents on alert.

A massive search is stretching into its second day for a man who authorities say posed as a police officer and fatally shot a Democratic state lawmaker in her suburban Minneapolis home.

Vance Boelter is at large after a Democratic politician and her husband were shot and killed at their home early Saturday morning.

Minnesota Lawmakers Shooting Suspect Vance Boelter’s wife, Jenny Boelter, was detained for questioning after a traffic stop in Onamia, Minn., on Saturday, June 14, 5 Eyewitness News reported.
