With full-contact practices scheduled to start Aug. 11, it remains unclear who Kennedy's football coach will be.

The last several months brought another busy coaching carousel to North Jersey high school football as 13 teams hired new head coaches.

In a 9-0 vote, board members refused to appoint a different coach, Jarrod Rogers, to the Kennedy position, which comes with a $13,572 stipend.

Rogers' co-defendant, Jarrod Copeland, was sentenced to three years in prison after a brief closed hearing, the Sacramento Bee reported. Copeland had previously lived in Vallejo.
