The cyclist who equalled the best ever Tour de France finish by a Scot at the weekend has been hailed as a hero in his hometown. Oscar Onley - who grew up in Kelso in the Borders - finished fourth overall in the gruelling three-week race.

Given that the average green ski run usually starts at around a 6% grade, and skis aren't really made to slide on ancient cobblestones, it makes sense that this guy needed a hand from his friends getting pulled down the hill.
