For some families impacted by the water main break in Southwest Detroit, they are still weeks away from moving back into their homes.

Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan was back at the scene Tuesday of the 54-inch water main break in Southwest Detroit. Crews continue to clear out basements and work on the break.

The affected area has just under 400 homes, and so far officials believe about 200 need to be restored, Duggan said. Officials from the city and the Great Lakes Water Authority have promised to pay for damages and restoration for what Duggan called the "failure" of the water system.
