A man was fatally shot in Del Paso Heights on Saturday, where the Sacramento Police Department responded shortly after midnight. Police found a man with at least one gunshot wound who was transported to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith.

Police said they arrived at the scene and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
