PITTSBURGH — New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger is dealing with a familiar back injury, though he doesn’t “know how to really explain it.” He pointed to an area near his lower back and upper right hip.

Cody Bellinger remained out of the Yankees’ lineup for the second straight day on Saturday, as the center fielder has been dealing with a stiff back.

Manager Aaron Boone was optimistic that he could have Bellinger back in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale. “I know there’s been incremental improvement the last couple days,” Boone said. “Hopefully available in some way today and hopefully back in there [Sunday].”
