As the long parade of protesters approached Michigan Avenue and filed past Trump Tower along the Chicago River, thousands lifted their middle fingers to the sky and screamed “F— Trump!” and “Shame! Shame!

A huge crowd gathered at Daley Plaza Saturday for a planned march through Downtown as part of a nationwide day of protest against President Donald Trump.

Extensive Chicago street closures and parking restrictions will be in place this weekend for the Puerto Rican Festival and Parade, Taste of Randolph, Midsommarfest, the Old Town Art Fair, Wells Street Art Festival and the "No Kings" protest in Daley Plaza.

Thousands of people filled several city blocks in and around Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago--cheering, banging drums and waving upside-down American flags in the air to signal what they see as a country in distress.

According to the group’s website, similar protests are set to kick off in more than 1,000 cities across the country, including several Chicago suburbs. The rallies are intended to counter the military parade president Donald Trump has planned to mark the U.

The U.S. embassy is warning all federal employees and family members in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza to shelter in place.
