Actor Chevy Chase meant to spark some joy with a rare post which showed him happily hugging his baby granddaughter, but the picture sparked massive concern from fans after they noticed something else with the photo - the actor's massive black eye.

In the new image, Chase, 81, posed on a couch wearing a red button-down plaid shirt, red frame eyeglasses, an Apple watch and some silver chains while smiling for the camera. The Saturday Night Live alum held his granddaughter, Ivy, who was born to his daughter, Emily, this past August and pictured with her back to the lens.
