Earlier this week, Broncos receiver Courtland Sutton signed a four-year extension, tying him not just to the team but also quarterback Bo Nix for several more seasons.

The Denver Broncos ensured that No. 1 wide receiver Courtland Sutton would want to continue catching passes thrown by second-year quarterback Bo Nix when Denver locked Sutton down via a four-year, $92M contract extension early into training camp.

Bo Nix made history last summer when he was elected a team captain by his teammates. Nix became the first rookie to be named a Denver Broncos captain since Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Floyd Little in 1967.

Denver posted a 10-7 record during the 2024 regular season and went to the playoffs for the first time since 2015 in Nix’s rookie year. For his second season, Nix said his preparation has been fueled by “the fear of not being ready, not being enough for the team.”
