Former Yankees ace CC Sabathia stands at the threshold of baseball immortality as voters consider his first-ballot Hall of Fame candidacy.

Dick Allen and Dave Parker were announced as the newest Hall of Fame inductees on Sunday night. They received at least 12 votes from the 16-person committee. The Classic Era ballot featured players, managers, umpires and executives whose primary contribution to the game came before 1980.

Dave Parker and Dick Allen have been elected to baseball’s Hall of Fame by the classic era committee. Parker received 14 of 16 votes and Allen got 13.
