AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A gunman opened fire Monday in the parking lot of a Target store in Texas’ capital, killing at least three people, before stealing two cars during a getaway that ended with police using a Taser to detain him on the other side of the city, authorities said.

The man suspected of killing three people, including a child, in a Monday shooting outside a Target in Austin was identified as Ethan Nieneker, police said. Austin Police shared Nieneker's mugshot in a Tuesday post on X, where the 32-year-old is seen with bruises and blood on his face.

The three people killed outside a Target in Austin, Texas, on Aug. 11 were identified, including a 4-year-old and a store employee.
