The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting is set to go on as scheduled Wednesday night — hours after the grisly fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson just two blocks away.

The 92nd annual Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting is happening on Wednesday. The tree is from West Stockbridge, a 74-foot-tall Norway Spruce, and is the first tree to come from Massachusetts since 1959.
