Check before you burn: Air quality concerns lead to bans in parts of Northern California
The burn bans are issued when air quality becomes a concern and to prevent it from worsening. Stage 2 burns mean that all burning is prohibited. That means no solid fuels like wood, manufactured fire logs, pellet fuels, and charcoal in any device, whether it's a fireplace, grill, or wood-burning stove. This applies to both businesses and residents.
