Abdukodir Khusanov's meteoric rise has been capped by a €48m move to Man City this week. Here's all you need to know about the 20-year-old Uzbekistan star.

The Athletic reported that Khusanov attracted interest from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, and they will disappointed to miss out on a coveted young centre-back. City have conceded more goals than any team in the top six of the Premier League, who will all be interested to see if this signing can improve a porous back line.

Following a breakthrough campaign in Belarusian football, Khusanov went on to join RC Lens in Ligue 1 for a low-cost fee and signing a four-year contract in the process. A first UEFA outing would come in November 2023 at the age of just 19 against Arsenal.
