The New York Knicks’ head coaching search appears to have narrowed down to two top candidates. According to James L. Edwards III of The Athletic, the Knicks are set to have formal interviews with Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown for their open head coaching position next week.

The New York Knicks are still on the prowl for their next head coach after turning heads with the firing of Tom Thibodeau on June 3. Yahoo Sports is tracking the team's search. New York got rejected by five NBA teams after asking if they could interview their current head coaches. The Knicks moved to former NBA coaches on Friday.

Thibodeau inherited a club coming off seven straight losing seasons when he was hired in 2020, and turned them into one of the scariest teams in the East year-after-year. The Knicks fired him anyway.
