I believe the minimum age is 3 so you couldn't take the baby anyway. It was nice weather when we went but still choppy and some people inc children were sick. You have to stay seated whilst the boat is moving and then you might need both hands to hold on whilst moving about. Not sure a 3 year old would get a lot out of it. Take them to the seal colony instead. It's free, doesn't need a boat and would be more interesting

We went end Feb/ early March and saw humpbacks and orcas. Didn't see a sperm whale. Saw Royal Albatrosses. What we loved most were the dolphins that escorted the boat for a good length of the voyage. I gather that cancellations of cruises can occur due to inclement weather and seas.
